Who we are The Committee on Student Organizations is an organization that derives its authority from the Vice President for Student Affairs and is dedicated to advocating for student organizations and their members. What we do The eleven students on this highly selective committee are responsible for approving new student organizations; registering existing student organizations on a yearly basis; providing, developing, and improving services and resources for student organizations; enforcing policies and procedures related to student organizations; coordinating the fall and spring Involvement Fairs; and coordinating the end of the year Student Organization Achievement and Recognition (SOAR) Awards Ceremony.
