’Canes Film Festival Winners Showcase Films In Tinseltown
Coral Gables, FL (April 28, 2008) - The winners of the 2008 ’Canes Film Festival will screen their films at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles on Thursday, May 22, as part of the SoC’s annual “L.A. Experience.” For the third year, the event held in collaboration with the UM Alumni Association, will feature graduate and undergraduate films written, directed and produced by School of Communication motion picture students during the 2007-2008 academic year.
’Canes Film Festival finalists judges were SoC Alumni Juan Carlos Coto (’88), co-executive producer of “24;” David Nutter (’83), Emmy Award winning director and; David Isaacs (’71), writer and producer for comedy sitcom icons Frasier, Cheers and M*A*S*H.
