Aida Diaz-Piedra, associate vice president and controller, joined the University in 1989, was appointed controller in 1996, and associate vice president in 2003. Previously she served as associate controller, assistant controller, and director of financial reporting. She graduated with a B.B.A. from Baruch College of the City University of New York, majoring in accounting and is a certified public accountant. Diaz-Piedra served a four-year term as a member of the National Association of College and Business Officers’ (NACUBO) Accounting Principles Committee, the body that develops accounting policies for colleges and universities, and is the University’s primary representative to the Council of Government Relations (COGR), the national association of research universities. |
