Commuter Advisory Board (CAB)
The purpose of CAB is to be inclusive and mindful of the two populations of commuter students: students who live at home with their families and students who reside alone or with other college roommates. CAB will serve as a connection to the office of Commuter Student Involvement and act as a voice to the administration with regards to commuter student needs. Also, CAB will open up leadership roles to commuter students as well as provide commuter students with information and guidance about off-campus life.

Apply to become a CAB member! Applications are available at the beginning of the fall semester.
Some of CAB?s programs are highlighted below:
Commuter Student Luncheon
FREE food! Commuter luncheons are held monthly in the Rathskeller. Meet representatives from various university departments and share your thoughts and issues that affect commuter students. Sign-ups will be in Room 236 of the University Center. Come early to signup; since space is limited to 20 people, the sign-ups usually fill-up quickly!
Study Breaks
Throughout the semester, Commuter Advisory Board sponsors snack breaks outside of the Memorial Classroom Building or Pavia Garage. When you see us, stop by and speak with us about any concern(s) you may have, or just pick up a good cup of coffee and donuts. Watch for us, because you never know when we might be out to surprise you with some free breakfast!
Roommate and Off-Campus Housing Fair
This fair is held once a year in mid-April to give students a chance to learn more about off-campus housing options. This is co-sponsored with the Department of Housing through their Off-Campus Housing services. Several apartment complexes from the surrounding area come out and showcase their properties. During this fair we always advertise the roommate matching service. Please call the Housing Office at 305-284-4505 for more information.
